Elements and Performance Criteria
- Prepare materials, tools and equipment for organic production work
- Identify required materials, tools and equipment according to supervisor instructions
- Conduct checks for serviceability on all materials, tools and equipment and report insufficient or faulty items
- Demonstrate correct manual handling techniques when loading and unloading materials and minimise damage to self, load and vehicle
- Select, check and fit suitable personal protective clothing and equipment before work
- Identify and report work health and safety hazards
- Undertake organic production work as directed
- Follow instructions and directions and seek clarification when necessary
- Undertake work in an environmentally appropriate manner and according to workplace information and principles of organic agriculture
- Follow site quarantine, biosecurity protocols and farm and personal hygiene requirements are as required by enterprise guidelines
- Meet enterprise's food safety requirements where appropriate
- Interact with other staff and customers in a positive and professional manner
- Follow enterprise policies and procedures for workplace practices and handling and disposal of materials
- Report problems or difficulties in completing work to required standards or timelines
- Maintain a clean and safe work site while working
- Handle materials and equipment
- Clean up on completion of work
